What is The Curvy Eggplant?

The Curvy Eggplant is your source for all holistic nutrition information.  If you are tired of feeling lethargic and dealing with illnesses, want to get rid of excess weight, or just want to drastically improve how your feel and look, then you have found the right place for information  to help increase your energy, your health, and your peace of mind.  Keeping your diet as close as possible to whole plant food choices with a small amount of meats, dairy and grains will help keep you at optimal health level.  The key is is your diet Alkaline or more acidic?  See my blog (posting soon) on Acidic/Alkaline foods explaining who your body reacts to different foods and why you want an Alkaline environment within your body.  Other key factors in your health involve fiber, absorption of minerals, inflammation, inflammatory diseases, and pre & probiotics.

I have researched and compiled the most relevant data regarding these topics and more with references to case studies, research, and other sources.  This information is based on research done through the years as well as information learned and sourced from nutrition courses I am currently taking the Energetic Health Institute based in Los Angeles, CA that will lead to both a Holistic Nutrition Certification & a National Association of Nutritional Professionals (NANP) certification once I pass the board test.  In addition, I have transferred to a local hybrid college Saybrook University branch here in the Seattle area to complete a Clinical Counselor MA degree with the goal of receiving WA licensing (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) (and other states if needed) as well as combining the nutritionist certifications as well as other holistic lifestyle healing practice certifications with my counseling degree and help heal others as a Holistic Health Counselor.  Emotional abuse is also a long-time interest of mine and like many others, because I have experienced much of this in my life in the past, and have successfully been working through the processing of emotions, I want to help out others in this area of life as well as with spiritual health in the Transpersonal/spiritual aspect with mind/body types of therapies.  The long-term goal is to attend a university in Berlin, GE (“The School of Mind and Brain” comes to mind) to earn my PhD.

Most important of course, I base my writings also on experimentation on myself over the years; however, everyone’s system reacts differently to everything we add to it (think fiber, gluten, foods with complex sugar molecules, etc.), therefore I make sure to list all options.  Your best resource is a Nutrition consultant, blogs and research studies with references and of course your own feelings and intuitive guidance.  Know one knows your body better than yourself and your input when you are visiting a Holistic Nutritionist, Naturopathic MD or Registered Dietician (look for one trained in Holistic Nutrition as well) is vital for their diagnosis and advice they offer you.

Always learning, I encourage any comments and questions you may have as well as ideas that spin off the topics.  I look forward to reading your responses!
